Very Disappointed, Feeling Conned

Im used to how limited Budge apps are when you buy the free version so I was pleasantly surprised when I downloaded this for my daughter and there seem to be more options on offer (more free characters and customization) This was last night. She opened the app today and promptly burst into tears because supposedly free characters were suddenly locked with a link to purchase content. Im usually satisfied with their free offerings but this feels downright manipulative to get parents to shell out for paid content.
